Powersoft is 30 years old

On 1st August 2016 Powersoft had its 30th birthday. Colin Eley & David Peace formed Powersoft in 1986 as a consultancy developing software using a 4th generation language from Cognos called Powerhouse. The demand for quality bespoke systems quickly brought them a list of blue chip customers like The Guardian newspaper, London Fox (futures market), and Page & Moy Travel.

The business focused on Travel and launched it's flagship software called Total Solution Travel in 1999. This was hugely successful in large call centres and at its peak was handling 6% of the UK's travel business.

Powersoft continued with its core business of consultancy and bespoke systems and specialised in the language PowerBuilder. Powersoft is now recognised as the premier consultancy for PowerBuilder in the world.

We have gone from strength to strength developing relationships with Financial services companies supporting their PowerBuilder systems and now have a great portfolio of clients on support.

In May 2015 we bought Mainstay a Hotel Property Management system, this is installed in over 100 hotels in the UK. We took this on as a strategic product that fitted well with our Travel and Leisure vertical focus. David Peace Technical Director for Powersoft said "We are very proud as an I.T company to reach this milestone. Many have fallen by the wayside over the years so for us to achieve 30 years is a great testimony to the quality of service we give our customers. We are looking forward to the 40 year milestone in a decades time."
